Samsung Introduces Soulb

Samsung yesterday introduced Soulb, its latest candybar phone. It comes with the touchscreen keypad of the original slider but compensates with an ultra-thin design and media features: the handset is just 0.39in thick but still finds room for a 3-megapixel camera with an LED flash, 1GB of built-in flash memory, and a microSD slot for extra storage. The phone also have new design user interface and allows for basic on-device video editing.

The Soulb is being positioned as Samsung’s next mainstream fashion phone and will ship in five colors ranging from a safer gray to pink and violet. A quick launch is planned for Germany, where the phone will be available from early June; the company expects a much wider launch that should include nearly all of the world. North America isn’t included in the list for the current version of the phone, which lacks 850MHz band support for its calling and 3G Internet access.

Hands-On Mobile Releases Iron Man for Mobile Phones

Hands-On Mobile, in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment, released Iron Man for mobiles today, a new game based on Marvel’s famous (and fictional) Iron Man character. Besides the game, exclusive Iron Man mobile content is available, as of now, from select operators around the globe. In the coming weeks, more carriers will add the Iron Man game and content to their offers.

Iron Man for mobiles features an action that revolves around the plot of the upcoming Iron Man movie. Players will have to control the Iron Man himself, during 4 levels full of action. Helped by weapons like “repulsor rays” and the “unibeam”, the Iron Man must visit many dangerous places, while firing at the enemies and trying not to get killed. Gather power-ups (to make your weapons more effective) and destroy all the foes that stand in your way.

Besides “Iron Man”, Hands-On Mobile will also release “The Incredible Hulk” for mobiles, a game based on the Marvel Studios film with the same title. Both the film and the game will be released in June.
