Hands-On Mobile Releases Iron Man for Mobile Phones

Hands-On Mobile, in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment, released Iron Man for mobiles today, a new game based on Marvel’s famous (and fictional) Iron Man character. Besides the game, exclusive Iron Man mobile content is available, as of now, from select operators around the globe. In the coming weeks, more carriers will add the Iron Man game and content to their offers.

Iron Man for mobiles features an action that revolves around the plot of the upcoming Iron Man movie. Players will have to control the Iron Man himself, during 4 levels full of action. Helped by weapons like “repulsor rays” and the “unibeam”, the Iron Man must visit many dangerous places, while firing at the enemies and trying not to get killed. Gather power-ups (to make your weapons more effective) and destroy all the foes that stand in your way.

Besides “Iron Man”, Hands-On Mobile will also release “The Incredible Hulk” for mobiles, a game based on the Marvel Studios film with the same title. Both the film and the game will be released in June.

Vivendi to Distribute Mobile Games via Nokia Catalogs

Vivendi Games Mobile, the mobile division of Vivendi Games, announced an agreement with Nokia to bring its mobile games to Nokia handsets via the Nokia Download! and
Nokia Catalogs shopping applications. The announcement follows an earlier agreement between the two companies to make Vivendi’s titles available through Nokia’s N-Gage program.

“The challenge in the mobile games value chain is not only to make great games and attract customers, but also in the effective merchandising of games and the ease with which consumers can find, purchase, and download games,” said Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile.

Following the agreement, users will be able to browse and download Vivendi Games Mobile titles directly on their Nokia phones via Nokia Catalogs, a mobile shopping application that is constantly updated with new content.

Vivendi Games Mobiles Catalog currently offers 12 games, including the recently released Brain Shock and Delta Force; titles based on premium entertainment brands like The Bourne Ultimatum and Eragon; and award-winning games like The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night and the first-person shooter Urban Attack. Users will also be able to download game-related content like wallpapers and ring tones.

Gameloft Releases Heroes Official Mobile Game

Gameloft has just announced the release of Heroes: The Official Mobile Game, based on NBC’s most talked about television series. The game also brings players a sneak peak on what season two of the movie will have to bring to its fans.

The Season Two spoiler is available only through the mobile game, challenging players to play it in order to locate a hidden room that contains a secret. This reveals a long-standing mystery from the popular TV series. This might even be considered more important than finishing the game, overall. The challenge increases, as the player’s lack of attention might make him complete the game without discovering the Second Season spoiler.

“We are always looking for organic ways to extend the Heroes story in the transmedia landscape,” said Tim Kring, creator and executive producer of “Heroes”. Moreover, “The Gameloft project afforded us a perfect opportunity to begin revealing an important Season Two story point before it actually hits the television screen”, he further added.

The game has been written in collaboration with the show’s writers. The storyline includes some of the best moments from Season One, depicting the lives of ordinary people who discover they have extraordinary abilities. Players can transform into Heroes that try to save the world throughout 11 levels and in four different locations: New York City, future New York City, a museum, and Las Vegas.

Heroes: The Official Mobile Game is available now through most U.S. carriers.
