LG Electronics has launched its first Android-based handset on the market in Italy under the name of LG LinkMe. The LG LinkMe landed in Italy with Android 1.5 on board, the same as the original GW620, and is priced at €299 (around $400). Although a rather affordable device, the LG GW620 still packs a lot of appealing features, including a 3-inch resistive touchscreen display that boasts a 320 x 480 pixel (HVGA) resolution, and a side sliding QWERTY keyboard.

LG Electronics launches its 3G HSDPA phone coded LG-SH240 in Korea market. By adopting silicon material on the front panel, it enables users to feel elasticity from the surface of front panel including keypad, menu and direction button.

LG will offer LG LH2300 Touch Web phone in Korea market soon. Packing a wide 3-inch touch-sensitive display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, the LG LH2300 is targeting the Internet phone market. The display is displaying 26 million colors and is produced by Sharp.
