Boost Mobile, a brand of Sprint Nextel, announced the availability of Motorola W385, expanding this way its Unlimited by Boost mobile phones offering.

Motorola W385 is the richest featured handset that benefits from the Unlimited by Boost service. Among its features, it has GPS, Bluetooth, Wireless Web, Text and Multi-Media Messaging, VGA camera with video recording, access to Yahoo, MSN and AOL Instant Messaging, Customizable Photo Caller ID and hands-free speakerphone with Voice Recorder and Voice-Activated Dialing.

T-Mobile Introduces Sidekick LX

T-Mobile today revamped its Sidekick messaging phones with two new models, both of which break new ground for the series. The Sidekick LX is the first ever to bring a wide, 320×240 screen to the series and is said to borrow elements of Sharp’s experience with its AQUOS HDTVs to provide higher picture quality. It can also create a personalized mood for messaging at night: users can customize ambient lighting around the front face. T-Mobile bundles the LX with a 128MB microSD card to store photos taken with the 1.3-megapixel camera as well as other data.

Samsung Confirms i550 GPS Phone

Samsung has now confirmed the existence of the i550 GPS phone. Aside from a built-in GPS receiver, its main highlight is likely to be its 3.2-megapixel camera, which is equipped with both flash and autofocus. The phone is also capable of EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA broadband, and connects locally via Bluetooth 2.0 or a USB 2.0 cable.

The i550 is expected to ship in November, but right now it looks like it won’t be coming to North America just yet.
