HTC TyTN II Could Replace Your Laptop

HTC has taken the wraps of its TyTN II Windows Mobile 6 powerhouse smartphone. Coming with a slide out Qwerty keyboard and novel tilt-to-view touchscreen display, the 3G and Wi-Fi equipped TyTN II is the most feature-rich Windows Mobile device yet released.

The HTC TyTN II is a 3G HSDPA mobile broadband-enabled, touchscreen smartphone using the Windows Mobile 6 Professional operating system. It has built in GPS receiver for satellite navigation, and comes with TomTom Navigator 6 Taster Edition software included. The TyTN II utilises a full Qwerty keyboard like its predecessor, but builds on this by using an adjustable tilt up display mechanism to make desktop typing easier.

As standard with HTC Windows Mobile devices, a full suite of Windows Mobile software is included onboard, including the latest versions of Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile, Internet Explorer Mobile, Windows Live and Windows Media Player Mobile. Microsoft Direct Push email is also supported.

Capcom to Bring Games to N-Gage in 2008

Nokia and Capcom today revealed that Capcom will be publishing games on N-Gage, Nokia’s next generation mobile gaming platform, in 2008. Capcom is the first Japanese based publisher to show their commitment to N-Gage, which makes its global debut later this year, ushering in a new era for games on mobile devices.

“With our global reach, it’s important to have strong, well respected global partners”, said Gregg Sauter, Director of Third Party Publishing, Nokia. “For many years, Capcom has been entertaining consumers around the world with exceptional gaming experiences. We’ve now reached a point with mobile technologies where companies like Capcom can deliver a whole new level of mobile entertainment. The N-Gage platform will enable this evolution with devices that deliver enhanced graphics and a development tool kit that allows for online tournaments, communities, multiplayer games and, of course, global distribution.”

SINA Uses Nokia’s SNAP Mobile

Today at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) China, Nokia announced that SINA Corporation (Nasdaq GS: SINA), a leading online media company and value-added information service provider for China and for global Chinese communities, has launched five connected mobile games powered by Nokia’s SNAP Mobile. Consumers in China can try out the new games, including 3D Pool Hall, Jellypop, Sudoku, and upgraded versions of Link Up and Stone Park, at http://mogame.sina.com.cn.

Is Google Phone Launch Imminent?

Google could be about to release its Google Phone in the UK in the next two weeks, if fresh reports from India are to be believed.

Previous speculations have put the Google Phone launch down for early 2008. But reports now state that Indian service providers are in talks with Google about an exclusive launch of the much-awaited handset, according to Rediff’s India Abroad.

First iPhone Negotiations for Asia Confirmed by KT Freetel

European operators have taken a large amount of everyone’s attention over the iPhone’s future support for a release on the market. They are infirming rumors and keeping silent on the entire matter, although one carrier had the courage to confirm it’s currently negotiating with Apple for
an iPhone release.

KT Freetel has high chances of becoming the operator to support the handset’s release on the South Korean market. Their confidence in announcing the fact that Apple is currently discussing this possibility with them has not been seen at all in other carriers that are now keeping a secrecy policy. The publicity that this uncertainty has to bring is pretty high, which gives good reason for them wanting to keep it up for as long as possible.
