Samsung Unveils High-Speed Compact with Full-HD Video Recording

Samsung Electronics America unveiled the TL350 – a high-speed, 10 mega pixel compact camera with 1080P, full-HD video recording. With a maximum video recording speed of 1,000 frames-per-second (fps) and a burst mode capable of capturing 10 full-size digital stills per second, the TL350 takes high-speed imaging to a new level for today’s consumer.

Additionally, the TL350 enhances the digital imaging experience with Samsung’s Advanced Panorama Shot with Object Tracking as well as an innovative Dual Capture mode, which allows users to simultaneously take 10 mega-pixel still images while recording full-HD videos. The TL350 will be on display during PMA 2010, February 21-23, in the Samsung booth, #2227, in the Anaheim Convention Center.

LG GW620 Launches in Italy as LG LinkMe

LG Electronics has launched its first Android-based handset on the market in Italy under the name of LG LinkMe. The LG LinkMe landed in Italy with Android 1.5 on board, the same as the original GW620, and is priced at €299 (around $400). Although a rather affordable device, the LG GW620 still packs a lot of appealing features, including a 3-inch resistive touchscreen display that boasts a 320 x 480 pixel (HVGA) resolution, and a side sliding QWERTY keyboard.

New Ovi Maps with Free Navigation Races Past 1 Million Downloads in a Week

Nokia has announced that since the 21 January 2010 launch of the new version of Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation, there have been over 1.4 million downloads. The one million mark was reached just one week after the launch.

“We’re averaging a download a second, 24 hours a day,” said Anssi Vanjoki, Executive Vice President, Nokia. “When we announced free walk & drive navigation we knew it would be a game-changer. The number of people now using their Nokia for navigation, and as a result looking for more location-aware software, is growing faster than even we predicted.”

Popular Images on mobile Google Image Search

Today Google announces Popular Images which lets you browse and find interesting images. This feature is accessible from Google Image Search on Android-powered devices and iPhones in the US.

To try it out, go to www.google.com on your phone browser and click on “Images”. Under the search box, you will see a few of the top images along with a link to “Browse Popular Images”. Clicking the link opens up a categorized list of image searches and corresponding images.
