HyC and Telecinco launch Formula One Live via Mobile TV

Spanish fans of Formula One can watch this season’s races live on their handsets thanks to HyC – part of the Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) group – in partnership with Boomerang TV and Spanish broadcast network Telecinco. The mobile TV service was launched in May.

Under the terms of the agreement, Ericsson’s HyC supplies an end-to-end, scalable service including encoding, editing and transmission, which enables Boomerang TV and Telecinco to stream the Formula One races to mobile subscribers via live or scheduled repeat broadcast. HyC also provides related systems integration services.

Live streaming to the consumer is a key aspect of the agreement. Viewers can enjoy personalized coverage and choose between live streaming and downloading selected moments of the races which are recorded, archived, managed and published automatically in real time as part of the service.

Streamed via the first off-portal in Spain, the service will run through the Formula One season, which ends in early November.

Hands-On Mobile Releases Iron Man for Mobile Phones

Hands-On Mobile, in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment, released Iron Man for mobiles today, a new game based on Marvel’s famous (and fictional) Iron Man character. Besides the game, exclusive Iron Man mobile content is available, as of now, from select operators around the globe. In the coming weeks, more carriers will add the Iron Man game and content to their offers.

Iron Man for mobiles features an action that revolves around the plot of the upcoming Iron Man movie. Players will have to control the Iron Man himself, during 4 levels full of action. Helped by weapons like “repulsor rays” and the “unibeam”, the Iron Man must visit many dangerous places, while firing at the enemies and trying not to get killed. Gather power-ups (to make your weapons more effective) and destroy all the foes that stand in your way.

Besides “Iron Man”, Hands-On Mobile will also release “The Incredible Hulk” for mobiles, a game based on the Marvel Studios film with the same title. Both the film and the game will be released in June.
