HTC Kaiser Became T-Mobile’s First 3G Smartphone

HTC Kaiser will support the radio frequency 1700 MHz used by T-Mobile USA’s 3G network. The device should make its entrance on the US market in the near future.

T-Mobile uses a different frequency than the other U.S. carriers in order to get the radio spectrum it needed to create a national 3G network. Standard U.S. 3G phones won’t be able to access T-Mobile’s network, as other operators offer UMTS and HSDPA technology. All these facts and the specifications that the FCC has leaked on the HTC Kaiser handset reveal the fact that the device will be compatible with T-Mobile’s network and see a soon release here.

G-mode Develops Multiplayer Game Based on SNAP Mobile

Today at the Tokyo Game Show, Nokia and G-mode, a leading casual games developer, announced that they are collaborating to bring more mobile multiplayer games to the global market. G-mode is developing Chess a Moment, an online and turn-based chess game, based on the Nokia SNAP Mobile platform. Players can compete in up to eight live games simultaneously, and have up to 30 hours to ponder their next move. Players can also review the move histories of their opponents at any time during a game. Consumers can expect to get their hands on G-mode’s Chess a Moment in the fourth quarter of 2007.

Ericsson Wins Mobile Entertainment 2007 Award

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has been rewarded with the Mobile Entertainment 2007 Award for Best Managed Services Platform for the successful worldwide deployment of Napster Mobile, in addition to other content integration services.

The award was presented at the Mobile Entertainment Awards ceremony in London yesterday. Winners in each category were voted on by around 400 content industry executives.
