Samsung Introducing Galaxy S10 Lite and Note10 Lite

Samsung just announced the new Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note10 Lite. These Galaxy Lite models bring key premium features such as the latest camera technology, signature S Pen, immersive display and a long-lasting battery at an accessible price point.

Samsung Selected as 4G LTE-A & 5G Network Solution Provider by Videotron

Samsung Electronics today announced that it will provide 4G LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) and 5G radio access networks solutions to Videotron, a Canadian telecommunications operator. This is the first time Samsung is delivering network solutions in Canada.

Videotron deployed its wireless operation in 2010 and has been the fastest growing new operator since then. Currently providing 4G LTE service, Videotron plans to launch commercial LTE-A and 5G services in late 2020.

Samsung Will Launch Galaxy Note10+ Star Wars™ Special Edition Next Month

Samsung Electronics just announced a special edition Galaxy Note10+ in advance of the December 20, 2019 release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The collaboration will unite two Galaxies – a galaxy far, far away, and the Samsung Galaxy – to generate excitement for the final installment in the Skywalker saga.

To commemorate this event, Samsung will release a special edition Galaxy Note10+, featuring Star Wars-inspired design elements and digital content. This special edition device will be bundled with a specially designed case, a metal badge as a collector’s item, an S Pen, and Galaxy Buds. The bundle also comes with exclusive Star Wars-themed content including wallpapers, shutdown animations, icons and sounds for fans to enjoy.

Samsung to Acquire Viv

Samsung Electronics announced that it has agreed to acquire Viv Labs, the intelligent interface to everything. Viv has developed a unique, open artificial intelligence (AI) platform that gives third-party developers the power to use and build conversational assistants and integrate a natural language-based interface into renowned applications and services. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.

The deal showcases Samsung’s commitment to virtual personal assistants and is part of the company’s broader vision to deliver an AI-based open ecosystem across all of its devices and services. With Viv, Samsung will be able to unlock and offer new service experiences for its customers, including one that simplifies user interfaces, understands the context of the user and offers the user the most appropriate and convenient suggestions and recommendations.

Viv was founded by AI visionaries Dag Kittlaus, Adam Cheyer and Chris Brigham. As part of the acquisition, the founding team will work closely with Samsung’s Mobile Communications business, but continue to operate independently under its existing leadership.
